Cookies and storage technologies
Cookie Policy
This policy explains how the Tax Accountant Cardiff website may store or access information on your device and how you can control non-essential technologies.
Last updated: 6 September 2026Applies to: www.taxaccountantcardiff.co.uk
What cookies and storage technologies are
Cookies are small text files placed on a browser or device. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, tags, scripts and device-identification techniques. They can remember a preference, protect a form, measure service use or enable third-party content.
When consent is required
UK rules require clear information and consent before storing or accessing information on a device unless an exception applies. Exceptions include uses necessary to transmit a communication or provide an online service requested by the user.
Following the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, limited statistical-improvement and appearance or functionality uses may also operate without consent only when all statutory conditions are met, including clear information and a simple, free way to object. The label “analytics” does not by itself make a technology exempt.
Read the ICO’s current storage and access technologies guidance.
Technology used by this website
| Category or service | Purpose and position | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| WordPress, Elementor and security functions | Deliver pages, protect forms, maintain sessions and preserve an expressed privacy choice. Strictly necessary functions may operate without consent. | Session-based or for the period needed to preserve the setting or security purpose |
| Formspree enquiry processing | Information is sent to Formspree when you choose to submit an enquiry. Its processing is explained in the Privacy Policy. | Controlled by the form service and our retention criteria |
| Google Maps embed | Displays the Cardiff map. Google may receive technical information when the embed loads. It should be treated as non-essential unless a valid exception applies. | Set by Google according to the technology and user settings |
| Setmore booking links | The booking service is not loaded merely because a normal link is displayed. When you open Setmore, its own website and privacy choices apply. | Set by Setmore after the service is opened |
| Statistical or performance tools, if enabled | Measure use and improve the website. These require consent unless the specific limited statutory exception and safeguards are satisfied. | Shown by the applicable consent control or provider |
A policy page does not itself block a third-party map, analytics tag or marketing technology. The site’s consent settings must prevent non-exempt services from loading until the required choice has been made.
How to accept, refuse or withdraw
Where a consent control is displayed, you can accept or refuse non-essential categories and later change that choice through the cookie settings control. Refusing non-essential technologies should not prevent access to ordinary page content, although an optional map or embedded service may remain unavailable.
You can also delete or block cookies in browser settings. Blocking all storage may affect requested functions such as secure sessions or remembered preferences.
Third-party services
Google Maps, Setmore and Formspree control their own services and may process information under their own privacy notices. We do not control cookies placed after you leave this website or actively use a third-party service.
Updates and contact
Technology can change when website, security, map, booking or form components are updated. We review this policy and the site configuration together. The date at the top records the latest policy review.
